I was experimenting with Graphitints on gessoed watercolor paper. I used an ochre Derwent Drawing pencil to sketch the pineapple. Then I colored with the Derwent Graphitints and some Faber Castel Albrecht Durer watersoluble colored pencils; wet the watersoluble pencils to create washes; added additional pencil work as needed. The original is about 9 x 12 inches, almost life size. The visible texture strokes are the strokes of gesso covering the paper.
