Above is the sketch of the Killdeer I saw at the Aquarium. He had escaped his enclosure and was walking around inside the aviary in the pedestrian area. I watched him through the window, only a few inches away. The light blue and raw sienna colors I used to prepaint the pages worked beautifully to capture the patch of sun he was in.
