This acrylic ink and gouache painting is on a full sheet (22 x 30 inches) of 300 lb. hot press watercolor paper. The bird ends up being life size or maybe even a bit larger. What I enjoy about this painting is that when I finished painting it I realized that the eye followed you around the room, no matter where you stood. Now that's gull-like!
