This is a small (5 x 5 inch) acrylic painting on canvas. I have been painting a lot of birds lately and I wanted to paint a rooster like the one I saw at the State Fair this year. This was also an experiment in layering color for me while working in acrylics. I used masking tape on some of the background layers, but most of that isn't even visible any more.
