In this detail you can see the brown acrylic ink which was used to sketch the bird. You can also see the splatters of ink that I was able to achive by dilberately splaying and catching the nib of the dip pen in the texture of the canvas. (This is a lot of fun and I recommend everyone have a go at it, even though it's a disaster on your nib.) The texture of the canvas is also visible in this detail and helps to show how the paint was puddling. You can also see some final touches of zinc and titanium white in the eye and beak.
