I realize that not all visual artists like to make books. I also realize that I like to make books faster than I can use them. Because of these two realizations I do sell books a couple times a year. (The times always vary because I'm never sure when I'll be able to make the books.) If you are interested in purchasing one of my blank journals please read the instructions below.

Blank Journals How: Using the contact link at the top of this page send Roz an email. Subject Line: JOURNAL PURCHASE Cost: $35 to $90; postage quoted at time of sale Process: A few times a year I have books to sell. The size, color fabric, decorative paper on the cover, and the text paper are all dependent on what I've been working on. These are all first quality books, but I am willing to sell them because I get tired of using books with green covers, or purple fabric, etc. If you are interested in purchasing one of these journals send me an email as described above. I'll let you know I've received your email and I'll save it. When I have books to sell you'll receive an email with details about the size, colors, text paper (and what I've found it suitable for) and the cost. (Shipping costs will also be listed.) Once I notify you that a sale is on you can email me to order. Unfortunately I haven't worked out the whole PayPal thing, so we have to do payment the old fashioned way: when I confirm your order you mail me a check. When I find out from the bank your check has cleared the book goes out. (If I don't receive a check one week from sending a confirmation or the check doesn't clear I sell the book to someone else.) I may offer books for sale zero to 4 times in a year. One email of interest, as listed above, gets you on the list. Repeated requests from you have absolutely no impact on this process. I might not have books to sell for over a year. Whether you buy something at a sale or not I'll keep your name on the notification list until you request I delete it. Subject Line: JOURNAL COMMISSION Cost: $50 and up; postage quoted at time of sale Process: If you simply can't wait until I have extra books to sell, or you need a book for a special occasion follow the instructions at the top of this paragraph. Prices vary depending on the size and type of paper selected for the text pages. There's some paperwork (so I know what you want) and you'll then receive a quotation. Receipt of a deposit (in the form of a check, which clears the bank) will get me going. Plan on about 4 weeks from the time the deposit clears the bank. Beaded Blank Journals How: Using the contact link at the top of this page send Roz an email. Subject Line: BEADED BOOK COMMISSION Cost: $250 and up; postage quoted at time of sale Process: If you are interested in a book with a beaded spine please follow the instructions at the top of this paragraph. There's some paperwork (so I know what you want) and you'll then receive a quotation. Receipt of a deposit (in the form of a check, which clears the bank) will get me going. Plan on about 8 weeks from the time the deposit clears the bank. No Leather, No Albums Please be aware that I do not work in leather (I simply don't enjoy working with it). Don't bother to ask. I also don't make photo albums, or any book construction requiring tabs between pages or any other interleafing. The few books I make like this I use. Bookmaking is fun for me and I'm going to keep it that way. |
