This is a journal I made several years ago with Folio paper. The paper called Folio today is not the same paper. I discovered the change in 2001 and was heartbroken. The old Folio was one of the most perfect papers for all media, especially pen and watercolor. I still have about 4 books made with this paper and I am slowly rationing them out to myself. (The paper now called Folio I talk about later in this section) I also love the decorative paper I made for this book. It's a paste paper with a lovely wavy water like texture, very subtle. And it's very sparkly. A bit of the cover paper is visible at the left side of this scan. I was preparing for teaching an ink drawing class so I was doing different views of a squash with the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen. |
