I'm still working on that recalcitrant 140 lb. watercolor paper with the cold press texture. You can see the texture clearly in the pre-painted strip of Raw Sienna acrylic ink that runs through the spread, and in the mottling of the washes that build the pears, or in the broken quality of the brush pen line. (There is also some stamping with gold acrylic paint down both sides of the spread. It clearly shows through in the washes of the left pear when seen in person.)

I'm experimenting with a yellow, red, and blue gouache. Always trying to get that dullness that is bosc pears.
