On our last evening in Paris we decided to have a dessert tasting. Earlier we stopped at Le Notre and purchased several desserts to share. We drew them first, and then rated them (I made a chart on a separate page). Ultimately it's impossible to tell which we liked best, as all had great characteristics. It's difficult to compare chocolate with raspberry. What we all agreed on however, was that the macaron (French spelling) was "not just a cookie." (Right edge of scan cropped slightly.
