During the year 2000 I participated in the Minnesota Journal Project 2000: a collection of 46 artists and creative thinkers (including designers, painters, writers, poets, a playwright, and a song writer) who kept journals for the year 2000.
As one of the four coordinators, I helped bind the archival, handmade journals we all used. In addition, we held meetings throughout the year to share our work and discuss the project. The year-long project culminated with a show of the completed journals at Open Book in Minneapolis, Minnesota, early in 2001. A second show took place in spring 2001 at the Talley Gallery at Bemidji State University. In June 2001 the journals were accepted into the archives of the Minnesota Historical Society.
