When I can't focus things get out of hand, like this painting of a rather interestingly shaped squash. Specialty Squash I think they called it at the grocer's. As I'm painting I'm fusing and fusing to get the colors I want, my whole brain clogged. I like to focus on positive things in my visual journal. I think it was a huge relief to just complain and complain in this cold journal. Maybe that's another reason I wanted to finish the journal before the cold was over. I wanted to contain all this fussing and whining, and not have it spill out into my regular journals.
This is Pentel Pocket Brush Pen for sketching and writing again, with gouache. |
