This page spread shows how I use my visual journal to keep records of the other artwork I make. On this spread I have a printout of one of the completed paintings, along with notes about that painting or the process. And on the recto page I have a photo of the first week's paintings.
On the table, along with the 7 canvases for that first week, are various photocopies of my journal pages, and a small stack of unused canvases. One of the "rules" I set for the project was that I use sketches from my journals. They are easy to retrieve, because I index my journal. Using sketches I already had on hand limited the time commitment each day and made the project possible. To see all 30 paintings in this project click Bird-A-Day Project contents.
